About Me
My name is Elijah and I was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario. I am enrolled at Niagara College in the Early Childhood Education program as a part of my overall journey towards teaching in an elementary school classroom. Throughout my childhood years I learned that having role models that can connect with you on the same level despite your limited age is so important for a child’s wellbeing. I would like to provide that mentorship for children who need it. I take pride in my ability to problem solve, and I have often been complimented on my optimism. I look forward to continuing my educational journey and working toward continuing down the path of helping those in the most important developmental stages of life.

In my journey toward becoming an ECE, I have worked many jobs helping me to gain skills in customer service, physical labour, critical thinking, collaboration, leading to an overall understanding of the heightened responsibilities while in the workplace.

As part of my Early Childhood Education journey, I have taken part in various professional development exercises and courses, helping to add to my qualifications and level of professionalism in the field. These experiences have added to my overall knowledge on the subject of pedagogy.
